Hi my name is David I am from Chicago. Been lurking but Currently I am debating whether to start or not.

I am Korean and wondering if there are any fellow Korean/Asian brewers on here. Please drop me a line or say hello. Thanks!

Welcome. You could say I'm asian. Vietnamese married to a Cuban and have been drinking 'good' beer and attending various festivals since the mid 2000's and have been homebrewing religiously for a couple of years (since I bought my house). It's alot of work and alot of money but in the end, it's well worth it.

Haha nice to meet you. What type of beer do you like to brew?

I'm brewing mostly IPA's, pales and wheats these days because those seem to be the most popular with friends and family. I've brewed sours, stouts and belgians also. Belgians are one of my favorite styles to brew because it takes a bit more precision with mash and ferm temps than your typical ales. I brewed a milk stout awhile ago that sat around for a long time because I found it tough going through 5 gallons of stout between the wife and I. Start with extract first and see if it's a hobby that you can get into. Having kegs (taps) at home will definitely impress your friends and it's quite satisfying to just reach over pull a handle and pour yourself a nice cold one that you brewed yourself.
