This was a project over a year in the making. I bought the Crucible over a year ago, but couldn't see babysitting a cooler of ice water through an entire fermentation. I then stumbled on a post where someone did something similar with a dorm fridge. I already had a fridge, so I had to give it a try. So far, it has exceeded my expectations. It holds temperature better than anything else I've used. I've only done ales up until now, but next up will be a kolsch at 60 degrees, and then a lager at 49. I have no doubt it would handle a 2nd crucible at ale temps if I decide to plumb another one.
