So I brewed my 3rd batch (APA) yesterday as I was finishing up my first one (which might have something to do with my problem) and after all was done, my adjusted OG was 42, the recipe said it should be around 50. I didn't have time to really do anything so I just pitched it and is now in the fermenter. So what should I expect from this brew? will it lack body, taste, both? Is there a way to fix this now that it's in the fermenter? Thanks ya'll!

Probably the only thing it will lack is a bit of alchohol. I wouldnt worry too much you probably wont be able to notice anything when it's finished.

Adding a pound of extra pale DME will raise the gravity about 8 points (LME ~7) and some body without changing the final flavor. Heat with just enough water to make it flow and add it to the fermenter. The sooner, the better.

Let us know the specifics. Did you use a recipe? Is it a kit? Give us a list of the ingredients and how much beer you made.
We will figure this out for you.
Don't get discouraged.:mug:

This is the recipe I used....
