Hello,
Another Chicago newbie here, Logan Square area.

After thinking about getting into home brewing for a few years, I finally got it together and brewed my first batch this past weekend. Its on day 3 of fermentation now. Just a kitted IPA and I stuck to the recipe. Just wanted to do something simple to get myself going and learn the process.

Stumbled across this forum while googling for various clones as I decide what to try next.

Man, it sure is easy to make friends.

Well, I am a Seahawks fan, so at least you can rub it in about making the SB this year.

Not to worry - plenty of fans of just about all sports here and some that don't care about any of them. Glad the first brew is coming along nicely. Hang out - ask questions - you'll learn a ton.

I'm amazed at how much I've learned in my time here ...and even more amazed at how much there is to learn!!
