Brewing Friends...

While I have NOT been on the board "forever," I have posted quite a bit and I've even become a paying member, and I feel entitled to this thread!

My wife and I have FOUR daughters. Only the oldest is married, and her wedding was in July 2010. Through a very cute e-mail, we learned about a new addition to the family, since the e-mail was written by our first GRANDCHILD! Obviously, our daughter and son-in-law wrote it, but it certainly did bring tears of joy [that's our daughter's name...Joy] to our eyes.

The little "bun-in-the-oven" will arrive, God-willing, in early December. I don't know who is more excited...the expecting parents or the expecting GRANDparents!

I'm thinking of brewing up a lovely, rich, dark stout for the occasion. Sounds like a plan to me!

Congrats!!! The stout sounds good. Will the new mother like the style? If not maybe brew a second batch that she'll enjoy.

^^^No, unfortunately, Joy Ruth does NOT drink beer. But her husband and her father-in-law certainly do! I think those of us that drink beer will certainly enjoy a good, thick, rich, dark stout! Happy Grandbaby!
