Hey,

I hate to ask but my LHBS is all the way up in Salt Lake City. I was wondering if anyone had a mill I could use to crush my grain. (I know noob mistake but I wasn't sure how long I would be before I brewed and didn't want crushed grains sitting around.) Its a long shot since this is Provo but thought I'd ask!

I'd let you come over and use mine but I'm in West Jordan, so not much better than driving downtown to Beer Nut or to Salt City Brew Supply.

Thanks dude! But that's too far lol I swear I'm the only brewer in Provo that I know of.

You probably are the only home brewer in your area. Im in the state just north of you (surrounded by Mormons), and we are pretty few and far between...

If all else fails, get yourself a heavy duty ziploc bag, and use a mallet/rolling pin to crush your grain. Cannot really guarantee an efficiency percentage, but again, if all else fails. You doing extract, partial, or all grain?

Idaho I'm sure is the same as Provo Haha. I'm actually doing a partial, so I don't have a terrible amount of grains to crush. I might just end up doing the ziploc bag method. Have you ever used say maybe a blender?

I have not. But I have used the ziploc method.
