I'm looking for a good Northern Germany Amber Pilsner with a creamy tight head and lots of it.

The one I'm after is Veltins which no one knows unfortunately. Forth largest German brewery and they only make the one beer.

Any suggestion?

Thanks,

st. pauli girl. hmmmmm. not sure if it's what your looking for though

Well, Veltins is not an amber pilsner... The most comparable beers to that one that are sold in the U.S. are Bitburger and Becks. Veltins actually makes a lot of beers, just that we don't sell them here. They are known for making strange Beer + whatever mixes. Beer + Energy or Beer + Caffeine...

I would look into Bitburger. You should be able to find that one at Bevmo.

EDIT: Oh yeah! Don't forget Warsteiner!

Thanks for the feedback. The Veltins I recall was from 20 years ago so my mind may be playing tricks. I did recently hear they started making a number of strange brews but prior to this it was only their Pilsner.
