I can't lie, blueberries are in my top three fruits I like, but I was drinking my Amarillo Pale Ale the other day which has conditioned nicely and has quite a unique flavor to say the least. While drinking it, I thought to myself, I bet this would be awesome with a hint of blueberry extract. ANy thoughts or anyone tried this before? I have been WAY off on thoughts like this in the past and before I go and waste some money on the attempt, I would like to hear input and criticisms. Thanks!:ban:

I've tried a blueberry beer at Fat Heads... It was good. But wasn't my favorite. It might not just be my style. It might be good. I would say try it:)

pop a blueberry and take a sip.

I would have to try an approximation before throwing a whole batch at such an idea.

This is where I like to break out the one gallon carboy and do some testing. I recently made my SWMBO WIT and wanted to add some fresh strawberries. She was against it since she really likes the WIT I make her, hence the name. So when I kegged it up I put a pound of fresh strawberries in a one gallon and racked a gallon on top of it for bottling a week later. Well the SWMBO WIT was kegged and tastes great.

We popped a bottle of the new Strawberry WIT a couple nights ago and her comment was "You should have done the whole keg like this!" My THOUGHTS we "Damn I TOLD you so" but my comment to SWMBO was. "Well now we know and I will do the next batch like this."

I like doing this as we can make a whole batch and then just take a bit for experimenting and if it goes wrong you still have 4 gallons of great beer and a gallon of sometimes a winner.
