I've been searching around here since I started getting serious about actually starting brewing. I've been thinking about it on and off for 10 years, heh.

But my friend said he was holding a brewing night if anyone wanted to learn, so I picked up a starter set and a porter kit, and off we went! (Full grain and a kit going at the same time, it was fun!)

It has another week in the fermenter, and this week another friend is finally getting rid of a closet full of bottles that never made it to the redemption center.

I'll probably do another kit or two, then move on to greater things. I have my eyes on some mead and cider, too. :)

So hi!

Well, before I had moved away to Hawaii and moved back, I'd already helped with a few brews. The one that springs to mind involved jalapenos, and how we had to keep going outside to save our poor eyes as we ground the stuff.

And I've no plans on resisting! To me it's just another extension of cooking, baking, candymaking, preserving, etc. Om nom nom.
