My Ale Pail lid doesn't seal well. I got a sealed lid from the bakery and cut a hole in the top to place an airlock in. I ended up cutting an opening in the lid to mount my crusher, so I could crush right into a bucket. Except, I cut my old lid. The new one doesn't seal.

So I can't watch my airlock bubbling!

Yeah, I can pop the airlock out and peek in the hole and see that it's working. I can crack the lid and smell the CO2 and know that it's working. I can even take a Hydro sample to see if it's working.

But I just like to watch the airlock!

I guess I better put a lid on my shopping list. My beer seems so dead without the bubbles...

They are only 3-6 dollars lol

Yeah and I have to drive a ways to get one. Plus, when I DID go to the LHBS to get some stuff last time I forgot. Doesn't help me now that I just brewed a batch and miss the bubblies.

The duct tape would work, but that stuff usually makes a sticky mess on stuff that I'd rather not deal with.

Then again, I likely won't re-use it once I get a couple of new ones, so that won't hurt anything.
