is it a big deal that my air lock has blown off? im pretty sure it isnt because the co2 would keep any bacteria out. yeast is going crazy, its bubbling like 10 times every few seconds

Just sanitize some siphoning tube and stick it in the grommet where you would normally put the airlock, and stick the other end in a container containing some sanitizing solution. Its called a blowoff tube. I always start fermentation with this. :mug:
 
And you might want to clean the yeast/wort splatter off the ceiling and walls before your significant other finds it. ;) Been there, done that.
