agave nectar?

Anyone ever make a mead with agave nectar in place of the honey? I'm thinking about doing this but wanna think it through first

I made a low gravity (~6.5%) mead with half agave and half honey. Turned out pretty decent.

Did you get any noticeable flavor from the agave?

I thought it was earthy, meaning a dusty-dirt flavor but in a good way. If you're hoping for tequila flavor, it definitly wasn't that.

It didn't taste much different from an all honey mead to me, but I am not really a connoisseur of mead at the moment.
