After stirring it all up. How long do I have before I must bottle. For extra clarity, I would like to wait a few hours for tiny bits to settle. Could I wait a day?

The yeast are gonna eat a lot of your priming sugar in a day.

what bits are you waiting for? if you are transferring from a carboy just don't take the bottom half inch or so and you won't have to worry about settling.. also unless you have a diptube installed in your bottling bucket you probably won't get the very bottom anyways..

After stirring in the (boiled and then cooled down) pint of corn sugar, there will still be a malt/yeast drub powder in the liquid. I'd be nice to have it settle on the bottom of the bottling bucket instead of shooting it into the bottles. I think I'll give it 2-3- hours

There shouldn't be any malt/yeast trub in the beer, assuming that you rack the beer into the priming sugar solution into the bottling bucket.

But if you dumped the priming sugar solution into the primary fermenter, well then yeah, there'd be a boat load of crud in there and I wouldn't recommend doing that. Ever.
