I'm going to be brewing a Belgian dark strong ale which should have an OG of around 1.10. I don't have the recipe in front of me so I don't have the exact number. I've noticed the thread about aeration which got me doing some research and I found that it's somewhat important for high gravity brews.

I won't have time to get to the LHBS before I brew so I have two options:

1) screw it - just splash while siphoning and shake the bucket
2) pet store only supplies - I already have an air pump lying around so I could just pick up an airstone and tubing from a pet store, but this wouldn't have a filter or anything

Without the HEPA filter I wouldn't want to use an air stone and pump. You could combine dropping the wort through a strainer into the bucket and then shaking the heck out of it.
