I would like to use this in conjunction with a RIMS tube, and to be able to make 5g and 10g batches. So, where do I drill the return to the MT from the tube & for sparging? How do I adjust the level depending on 5 or 10g batches? Thanks folks!

I drilled and welded a 1/2npt coupler in mine aproximately 4 " from the bottom of the keg skirt. I use a perforated folding stainless false bottom, with a stainless steel pickup tube that draws the wort from a center hole beneath the false bottom. You can calibrate your volume by way of a sight tube, or you can fill your kettle and stamp level increments in the kettle.

Yeah, I'm thinking more of the wort coming back to the keggle from the rims tube (recirc) through some sort of adjustable hose so it can accommodate a 5 or 10 gallon batch withouth having the water level too high or too low, respectively...

I return to the keggle through a hole I drilled near the top. I have a nipple going through the keg wall with 90s on each end. There is an inline sightglass and ball valve on the out side. On the inside I have a six inch pipe going down to a tee. From the tee I have pieces of soft copper (that are bent to match the keg walls) with flare fittings. The flares are hand tight and I can use them to adjust the soft copper angle up or down to deliver the runnings at the level of the wort. All in 1/2". I don't have a picture but I hope you can visualize it.

Would something like this work?

It's supposed to be stainless steel, it's for natural gas...
