Hey Guys,
I brewed a Vanilla Smoked Whiskey Porter recently and am interested in how to adjust the ABV for the whiskey that was added. Here's the facts:
So the ABV according to Beer Smith is 5.8%. How do I account for the whiskey cocktail?
Thanks!
George
I brewed a Vanilla Smoked Whiskey Porter recently and am interested in how to adjust the ABV for the whiskey that was added. Here's the facts:
- OG 1.064
- 7 Day Primary Fermentation @ 68
- 7 Day soak of 3 vanilla beans (scraped) in 200ml Jack Daniels No 7
- "Vanilla bean whiskey coctail" added to the secondary bucket
- Porter moved to the secondary
- Gravity after primary 1.020 (I'm guess I should have taken my reading before the vanilla bean whiskey coctail)
So the ABV according to Beer Smith is 5.8%. How do I account for the whiskey cocktail?
Thanks!
George
