What is the best way? I plan on using 8-10 lbs for a 5 gallon batch. Going to buy the frozen type in the store. Don't know if I should rack onto them in secondary while they are frozen, or blend them into a puree or if I need to heat them at all?????? Advice please- I do not want to get an infection on them.....

I sanitized a nylon strainer sack, poured the frozen berries in and then put it in the bucket, by the time it warmed up the yeast started to attack it and it was fine.

Heads up though, don't squeeze the bag, when the strawberries turn to mush they can release a muddy pile of liquid that doesn't have a fresh strawberry taste.
