Adding priming sugar a night before bottling?

Has anyone ever added their priming sugar a night prior to bottling just curious if this would affect bottle conditioning?
 
If you add priming sugar a long time before bottling, it will start fermenting and dissipating the CO2 intended for carbonation into the atmosphere. You will then end up undercarbed by some amount.
