Adding orange tincture to keg

I have this made up and will be adding it to the keg. Orange zest of three large oranges in vodka. I'm wondering how people are adding it to the keg.

Just use a spoon to hold back the zest?
Squish the zest into the keg to get the most out of it?
How much gets added? Just a splash? The whole couple ounces?
Also I hate vodka. Will this give ANY hot vodka taste to the beer?
Wheat beer with coriander in boil. I added way to little dried orange peel in the boil and want to bump it up.

wow that looks like a mess. I'd strain it first. I haven't done orange zest before but when doing stuff like this I mix tiny amounts into a pint (even the warm flat pre-kegged beer) to determine the correct dosage for a keg. I did a Belgian holiday ale this winter where I just kept my burbon+spices tincture (which was pretty concentrated) in a tiny dropper bottle seperate, then I could drink the plain beer if I wanted, or add a few drops of tincture to my glass if I wanted the spiced version. That was easy and fun with 0% chance of over-spicing the 5 gallons in the keg.
 
Its orange zest in Vodka. I don't know what else it could possibly look like. Its been sitting for a few days. The strong Vodka smell has warn down a bit but still smells like Rubbing alcohol (Vodka). I just mixed some in a Bud Light to get the flavor. I gotta say its pretty good. I think it would need more than I have in 5 gallons to make a difference so I added a little more Vodka. I'm racking it later so I'll find out soon enough
 
If you do this again and have a fish filleting knife you can fillet off larger slices of zest which might make the task of straining separating easier. Zest is so thin it will extract easy.

Maybe a couple layers of cheese cloth and just let the liquid drip through.

I was commenting on the really small particles of zest, which will be difficult to strain. I dont zest much but i have a silly little zesting tool which works well and you end up with large pieces which would be easy to filter out, probably just with the lid of the mason jar.
 
I normal just take a small homemade hop bag and pour pulp in it and the everything goes in keg tied off with dental floss. That way it keeps on giving flavor. My Orange cream ale gets four large blood oranges- juice, pulp and zest in 2 oz vodka
 
I have a drawer full of oranges because I'm a fruit fanatic.
I didn't want any of the white rind I might get from slicing it with a fillet knife.
I don't see how zesting "just the best" part and having it infuse faster would be worse than any other way.
It seems it would be the best way to get the most flavor the fastest without risk of bitterness from the rind
 
For future reference, you can use a potato/carrot peeler and add to the boil. No dealing with vodka. With a tincture you do have more control of how much flavor though. I’m a little old school and I come from mead making so I like to have all the flavors hang out together to get to know each other.
There’s a great APA recipe on here that involves orange zest and coriander by Blacklab. One of the best pales I have brewed.
 
How i generally do zest is to fill the jar halfway with vodka the zest will eventually settle and you can use just the vodka.

Measure out 3-4 cups of 4-6oz samples. Then dose each cup with 1ml 1.5ml 2ml pick the one you like best then scale up based upon your batch size.
 
However you do it, you need to strain the liquid and remove the zest, then add the liquid to the keg and pump the beer on top of it. This will mix it up. I don't think that this small amount will be too much for a 5 gallon keg. It is clear that you like the orange flavor, otherwise you would have not gone to the trouble of doing this. Worst case scenario, your beer is a little overly orangey. /cheers
