In the past, I've cursed orange peel additions for clogging my spigots. Recently I added sweet orange peel to two brews during the mash............. I really like the subtlety of flavor that resulted. The flavor "melded" far better than boil additions giving that "now what am I tasting" effect.

Great. Don't over-acidify your mash though. You might also want to consider a simple hop bag or similar device. If its yummy, brew it and enjoy it!

THAT is a very good idea - i like it. A friend once made a Saison that I really loved. He used a bit of coriander, and orange peel, as per tradition, but that is how it came across: That subtle, almost can taste it almost can not, can't put a finger on it thing. It was wonderful! I will try it.
