Hey everyone,

I have a centennial/citra IPA finishing currently... ABV is coming in at about 7.2% and it is a tad on the dry side final SG of 1.013.

I am using this batch to experiment with grapefruit. I peeled 3 red grapefruit and zested the 4th and have that soaking in 750ML of vodka. I am thinking of dumping it all into the batch for about 3 days before kegging then dry hopping with 1.5oz of citra in Keg.

A little concerned on the vodka causing off flavors? Dump in the booze with all the grapefruit oils or drain and go with just the skins?

appreciate any opinions ... I am ok with experimenting but don't want to completely destroy this thing... :)

Why not try the tincture first? I think that is a common method though so you are likely safe. With that said, I might have suggested gin instead of vodka if for no other reason than the zesty-ness of the gin.
