I really like sam adams summer ale that lemon taste Can i add a few slices of lemon like you would for tea to fermenter and when is the best time to do so? and for how long? OH only nine days in and still fermenting So any advice?

EDIT even thought maybe a green apple and some spices Can that even be done safely? Apple pie taste Ya know some cinnamon and nutmeg maybe some more sugar something different What can i do?

Sam Adams Summer Ale gets it lemon flavor from lemon zest. At a few teaspoons 10 mins before flame out and some at flame out.

Transfer your beer to a secondary after fermentation is done and add lemon zest then...this should work with your current batch.

As the other poster stated, in the future add lemon with 15 minutes left of the boil and when the boil is done (flameout or minute zero)
