I brewed what was called a quick framboise. I added raspberries to the fermentation per the recipe. I am about to bottle and would like more raspberry flavor but it does not need any more sweetness. I was thinking of grinding up raspberries and adding them instead of priming sugar to carbonate the bottles. Does this make sense? Will it impart any flavor to thin the bottle?

Thanks for your help,

Seems like you will have a hard time predicting how much sugar is in the berries for priming purposes. Have you considered raspberry extract?

You are playing with delicious fire my friend.

Your best bet to avoid bottle bombs and/or infection, is to simply use a raspberry flavoring like this, which is available at any homebrew store.

If you want the real deal, I would suggest using a canned puree that you will know, for sure, the gravity. Then doing some math.

I have had a bad experience using extracts, but I know they are my best bet. If I blend up the raspberries and add some water and campdem I should not have to worry about infection.

Sorry as I think out loud but I have the natural flavoring and I can add the extract to taste I should get what I want, right?

Thanks
