Hi,
I've got a stainless steel electric boiler than I've been using for brewing. I'd like to use it for BIAB. As such I'm going to put a guard/false bottom above the element to protect the bag during the mash.
Easiest options seem to be cake trays or pizza screens but it seems to be rarer than not to get these in stainless steel. Chromed metal, plastic and aluminium seeming to be fairly common.
Any idea if there are particular materials I should avoid? I'm assuming stainless steel and aluminium are fine, chrome less so?
Thanks very much,
Tom
