ABV % Calculation

Does anyone know how to calculate the following information:

I added 150 ml of vodka tincture (orange peels soaked in vodka) to 6 gallons of beer in the fermenter. The vodka is 40% (80 proof).

I just need to know how much this will increase the abv for the 6 gallons?

I've read approximately 1% but would just like to know if there is a way to calculate this for a more precise number.

You have less than 2.5oz of alcohol going into 768oz, I would not worry about it. I think it will add closer to .3% than 1%.

he said it was orange peel soaked vodka, so it might raise the FG.....lol, what's the SG of citric acid?

150ml of 40% abv vodka is 60ml (150*0.4) of pure EtOH.

6 gallons is 22712.5mL

Lets say you have a 5% abv beer... that would be 1135.625mL (22712.5*0.05) of pure EtOH.

Add them together and you get 22862.5mL (22712.5+150) of solution with 1195.625mL (1135.625+60) of pure EtOH with an abv of 5.23% (1195.625/22712.5).

So, there you go.

Lets say you have a 5% abv beer... that would be 1135.625mL (22712.5*0.05) of pure EtOH.

Add them together and you get 22862.5mL (22712.5+150) of solution with 1195.625mL (1135.625+60) of pure EtOH with an abv of 5.23% (1195.625/22712.5).

So, there you go.

Haha! No I’m just experimenting with adding orange flavor. This is one of several methods I want to try and I need the ratios for future experiments
