A toast to our puppy pals

This week, I had to say goodbye to the weird-looking dog that has graced my profile picture since I started on this site. He was with me on many brew sessions, and I once named a porter after him (Pugnacious Porter). His name was Gnar, and he was a good boy.

Rather than being sad, I wanted to suggest that wherever you are you lift a glass to all of our animal friends.

We lost a sixteen year old pup not quite a year ago. Once I dial in my house mild, it'll be Miles' Mild for the gentlest soul I've had the pleasure to know.

Sorry for your loss. I've had to say goodbye to 6 canine family members in my lifetime and it's never easy (usually quite the opposite for some time).
Our last doggie, Day 1, and about one year before we said goodbye...
