I see a new style keg at www.morebeer.com,the lid is corny keg lid and the dispensing port is sanke D,following is the video:

At homebrewer level, the only thing I can think of is a single connection to the keg for gas and liquid lines. IMO, not worth it for home level. Especially with the things being at a premium. Plus you'll need to get a Sanke D coupler to use it.
 
I guess this keg is designed mainly for commercial use,of course,homebrewers and homedistillers who like sanke dispensing way also may use it.
