I've got a cream stout ready to rack to secondary. It's a recipe I've done before and really like. I'm tossing around the idea of adding cranberries but haven't done anything with fruit yet. Is now the time to do it? I'm just looking for a little holiday flavor.
Any help would be great.

That could be interesting. As with anything like this, err on the side of caution. You can always add more, but you can't take away. I was actually talking about doing something like this the other day, along with some mulling spices.

Right, I don't want crazy cranberry flavor. I read in another thread a recommendation of 1/2 to 1 pound of cranberries per gallon of beer. I figure trying 1/2 lb pureed and boiled, cooled and into secondary. Anybody think this is a mistake?
