I saw the word beginner and figured that's the place for me. So As I said... 1st post. Hi all.
New to brewing but liking it already. My 1st go was with the help of a more experience friend. It was a Brewers Best Pilsner kit and it was fantastic.
My next try was a non-boil kit... don't remember the name... about 2 USG of wort in a box, just add water and yeast. after about 10 days, primed and bottled. Taste of very good but the carb is too bubbly. Almost like soda. Good head but big bubbles. I have been reading that cane sugar can give a sharp taste in the gas. Not sure what came in the kit but no matter since it is almost gone.
I just racked... right term for bottling?... A batch of Woodforde's Headcracker ale. I ended up with more water in it than it should have they were talking in Brit pints...and I was wasn't. I'll describe what I did in another post and get opinions of what to expect.
