A disapointing 6 pack.

So I picked up a 6 pack of Rogue American Amber Ale at World Market. Get home and the first beer I pull out is empty. Capped and all, but bone dry. Then as I open the others I come to find they are all messed up with the carbonation. The CO2 hadn't been absorbed and it just foamed out when you opened it and then was flat.

I still drank them though, but I might be cantankerous enough to take my unopened empty one back with the receipt and try to get a free one. :tank:

When i read the title, I thought you were gonna say you got a six pack and it wasn't what you were expecting. After reading what you went through with the sixer, I wondered why you weren't furious. I'd be super PO'ed if that happened to me. I get excited when I get a beer from a good craft brewery, especially to try it for the first time. After the first one, I woulda brought that sucker right back and exchanged it for another.

There's a distributor by my house that, when they get deliveries, they use a 12 pack to hold the door open. I've seen that door chocked open with a 12 pack when it was 95 degrees out, and I've seen one there when it was in the teens. Don't know if that kind of handling would really hurt a beer, but I always chuckle when I see it.

Breez7, just saw your blog. I'm from Slippery Rock and you gotta stop by North Country Brewing Co., if you haven't already. Sean, one of the brewers at Full Pint, is the head brewer there. They normally have ~12 beers on tap, all of them excellent. The building and woodwork are amazing and the food is great. Service can be a bit slow when it's busy, so I'd recommend sitting at the bar. It's really a great place where I learned to enjoy good beer.

Empty beer ? Too bad you didn't caught it before opening it. Imagine the look on the face of the cashier at the cashier when you get back to the store to ask for a full bottle :)

email Rogue there probably waiting to tell you all about this would never happen.....Even know they know that they shipped bad. Bad shipping Bad!

Wow! That sucks, I would have been ticked as well. Rogue makes some good beers, crazy they missed a 6 pack like that and it made it out the door

I recently bought a 6 pack of SN Torpedo. After getting home and pouring a glass, i thought it tasted more like SNPA, so I relooked at the bottle it WAS SNPA in a Torpedo 6pack carrier. Not sure is someone at the store did it or what, but I did email SN to let them know. They said thanks and sent me a cool keychain bottle opener :)

No no, I still have it unopened. A perfectly empty beer with the cap still on there. I was getting ready to go back today, but for the life of me can't find the receipt. I thought about giving up and saying, "It's just one beer." But then I remembered it is just one beer. The search continues. :rockin:

Edit: I went to there website and sent them an email in the nicest fashion. I'll update if I get a response.
