So, I recently "inherited" a 10-gallon gott mash cooler, complete with very nice spigot assembly. The one thing that's new to me is the false bottom setup. All the false bottom assemblies I've seen have the false bottom up above the spigot; this one, on the other hand, has a convex-shaped false bottom whose edges sit below the spigot, and it directs the liquid through the mesh, then up into a hole in the top center of the false bottom,where a tube connects to it:
Has anyone seen this before? It came with 2 identical false bottoms, not sure why, but it seems like it would work alright. Thoughts?
