As long as it fits, I don't see a problem. Faster heating will speed up the brew process.
I brew 5 gallons in a 15 gallon pot with 5500w.
If it's not too late, you should think about a 15g pot, though.
I've had my 10g kettle for awhile now, so kinda locked in with it. I normally don't have a problem fitting the grain bill in. Some bigger beers do get close though. what type of time range are you getting with the 5500w?
Yeah. The control panel is done. I finished it up last week. It's a 30a 240v system with PID control. I'm just starting the last part of my build, the kettle. Just curious if the 5500w element is overkill.
