5-gal kits as BIAB?

Newbie BIAB Guy here. (I’ve done a couple of extract kits, so looking to expand to BIAB)

Here’s the question...

I see that Northern Brewer sells (3-gallon) “BIAB-Kits”, and regular (5-gallon) “All-Grain” kits. Is it possible to use a 5gal all-grain kit as BIAB? (I’ve got a 9-gal pot of that matters). I’d like to keep the 5-gallon size, but worry about efficiency.

BIAB is essentially just a different way to do all-grain brewing. Any 5 gallon all grain kit can be brewed using BIAB.

The only issue might be crush. They may go fairly coarse with their regular kits.

Ask them to mill the grains finer for biab
