Hey all,

I went to Sams Club yesterday to pick up some water for my homebrew so I bought some 4 gallon jugs. Would these bottles be safe to ferment some beer in?

Thanks,

MT

Are these similar to better bottles? How much could I ferment in this jug safely?

Thanks for your help!

1.5 gallon headspace is ideal for a primary fermentor so.. 2.5-3 gallons.

They aren't really as nice as better bottles, thigh similar enough, just like with better bottles be careful lifting them full with the airlock on, the bottle will stretch and suck your sanitized water/vodka out of your airlock into your fermentor.
