Hello!
I am on a mission to homebrew a 3Floyds Drunk Monk Clone. I originally had this beer in 2013 on tap at the bar there. When I first took a drink, I noticed this was not like other hefeweizens. It had a punch you in the face banana candy nose followed by a intense crisp finish that made you want to come back for more. It was just....refreshing.
Just looking for suggestions to a recipe as I have never brewed a hefeweizen before.

The best explanation I have found for this beer.
A- Pours hazy golden yellow with a one finger white head.
S- Hay, wheat, clove and banana. textbook.
T- A bold and refreshing burst of flavor on the tongue. A ton of clove on the tongue and a massive banana. Very true to the beers description. The malt is thick, creamy and has a lot of feel. A vanilla and a hint of caramel from the malt. Subtle herbal note as well as a slight spice and undeniable Belgian yeast.
M- It remains easy drinking, has a great texture and is refreshing. Excellent.
O- One of the best Hefe's I have had and without a doubt the best in the states.
I am looking to capitalize on the crisp, banana flavor burst on top of a basic hefeweizen. Here is my recipe so far on brewtoad.
