32 qt Aluminum Boil Kettle Insulation

I was struggling with getting 6.5 gallons of water to boil and sustain a rolling boil. I could get it to boil if I placed the lid on top. However, I'd rather not do that.

So I picked up some Reflectix from my local hardware store.

It took 95 minutes to go from room temperature to 210ish degrees.

I'll post my timeframe on how long it takes after this insulation mod.

Oh yeah, I'm also on an electric coil stove top.

The 95 mins was before the insulation.

I'm brewing on Friday. I'll post my times after.
