I'm about to order my 2nd extract kit. Big River Brown Ale from Midwest. My first batch, still in the primary, was their liberty cream with Safale us-05. I went with a dry yeast to keep it simple. I'm wanting to use dry yeast with the brown ale too, but I'm wondering if the Safale s-04 will be the right choice. Seems like it's a special yeast for cask conditioning. I will let it ferment in the primary for 3 weeks, and then bottle. Will this yeast be right for me, or should I step up to the London Ale Wyeast activator.

for a brown ale, i'd go either nottingham or s04, depending on which i had in my kegerator storage at the time
