2nd batch/First self made recipe

Hey guys, I am going to try an American Amber Ale for my 2nd batch ever. And decided to try my hand at making my own recipe for it. How does this sound?

8# pale malt extract

1# 60L Crystal

1/2 # Carapils

1 oz Challenger (7.9%) 60 min

1 oz Challenger 5 min

WL California Ale Yeast

The beer I brew most often is very similar. I think you'll be very happy and it'll give you a starting point to tinker with in the future - different hops, slight mods to the specialty grains, and different yeast.
