Probably shouldn't have had as much to drink while making first batches of mead... anyway.... What would happen if I added whiskey (jack) to my batch ? I'm thinking I should add it after fermentation.... Or should I leave it out... This is my first mead. I'm a whiskey drinker from back in the day
 
I made a high alcohol mead last winter, about 18% ABV. I added toasted white oak chips that had been soaking in good whiskey to it for a few months. I bottled it a few days ago and between the oak and the warmth from the alcohol it was a littly whiskey-ish.
