It’s that time again, and I’m prize wrangler again.
https://comp.beerhbc.org/There‘s still time to brew for this one! Entries are limited to 200, once we hit that our club president is sticking with it, no increase.

Yeast, hops, an SS flex, a prize for wood beer, and fruit purée/compounds. Must be in it to win it! A few years back we had a brewer from Ohio attending the awards to claim his prize.

Coming along with the prizes. The competition is one quarter full right now and I expect we will reach the limit of paid entries before the deadline. I’m hoping I can win this category this year, how about you?

We are past the halfway mark for entries, if you’ve been thinking about it now is the time to act. We could also benefit by having a few more qualified judges, anyone traveling from the north by ferry to Port Jefferson can be picked up and brought back to the harbor! Save gas and the hassle of driving through NYC.

We’re getting down to the wire! If you’ve entered please be sure your payment is in. If not, what are you waiting for? Spike Flex is for the first BOS winner. (Must be at awards ceremony or make arrangements for someone to pick it up for you. DM me about that please.)

@Hoppy2bmerry - Wondering if you could find someone to help me on this.

I've paid, but the system isn't allowing me to print my label.

It says " Please Note! You will not be able to print any entry's paperwork (bottle labels, etc.) until payment for it has been confirmed and it has been marked as "paid" below." Its been this way for about a week.

I raised a ticket, but haven't heard anything back. I'm mailing my entry from Massachusetts, so would like to be able to print it this week.

My entry ID is #000137

Could you PM me if you are able to find someone to help?

Cheers!

The event was yesterday, congratulations to all the winners and thank you to all the entrants. The results are posted with the exception of the BOS results, but you can watch the awards which were live streamed on Facebook. One of our own members cleaned up this year with 3 first place wins and a 1st place BOS! Congrats to @Unicorn_Platypus too! I was pretty busy working the event, my apologies for not sharing about the live stream.

Thanks for helping organize the event!

Very cool that my barleywine took 1st in the category.

I rarely brew to style or enter competitions and this was my first 100% extract beer. I entered it just for fun

Many years ago I was involved in similar events as a "helper" and many of them approached "cat-herding" exercises :)
I have respect for anyone willing to deal with that stuff :mug:

Cheers!

I’m pretty sure they get dumped after being available for a year, as many clubs do, but I’ll check if anyone kept the hard copies.
I’d appreciate it. That would be outstanding if I can get my hard copies or even just a photo or .pdf of them.
