Hey all I'm going to be brewing my first ten gallon batch in a few days and I was wondering if a 25' chiller with whirlpool will be enough. I wanted a 50' chiller but copper tubing is way expensive. Any thoughts? Thanks!

I had trouble with mine, it was due to the coil being short, stout, and to small. I know some of the guys here have success with theirs. It took me too long to cool 11gallons (45min). If I had a big paddle to stir the wart around the IC it would have worked better. I switched to a plate chiller so I never messed with it again.

60 degree water is nice. It took me about 40 minutes to get a 10 gal batch down below 90 with 80 degree water. If it takes too long do what I did, get it below Hot Side Aeration temps then transfer to carboys and dunk in a tub with ice water before pitching.
