Anybody ever built an output selector/switch box for a 220v circuit? I am not seeing anything wrong but i don't trust the theoretical engineer(me) over an electrician any day...

I want to build a box that has one(1) input of 30a 220v from my SSB econtroller to a two pole switch that goes to two outputs, my HLT(ssb ekettle) and my SSB RIMS Tube. this way i can switch between the two without having to plug and unplug anything. Issues?

There are two ways to approach it.

Cheap(ish) https://www.lightingsupply.com/bryant-3025brn.aspx
Man, the last time I bought this switch it was $25. Anyway, it's a 30 amp double pole, double throw with center off. The two hots go to the center/commons and then the outputs are on each end.

Slightly more complicated and requiring a larger box:
22mm selector switch with two NO contacts.
Two 30amp 2 pole contactors with 240v coils.

and then its just wiring up the two output outlets and an input on the sides of the project box.

If you want that industrial brewery feel, there are also rotary changeovers available albeit pricier.
