2016 Vermont Brewers Festival

What did everyone think???
Favorites?
Least favorites?

I stuck with my usual plan of sampling a good amount of the available citrus / dank herbal IPA offerings. Most were reasonably good.
Finished with my all time favorite Edward from HF.

Also sampled the Lawsons / Otter Creek collaboration
Double or Nothing (Maple Barleywine)

Outstanding.....

I didn't go. Haven't been for years since it has gotten expensive and crowded. Last year's tickets sold out in 30 minutes.

I prefer to sample from the breweries themselves. Nothing like a nice motorcycle ride on a Friday with growlers from multiple breweries ( beer run ). That and I vacation about 5 mins from Hill Farmstead, was disappointed they are not making Everett right now.

I started volunteering several yrs ago and that solved the problems that you mention.
I get an annual invite to work a session as brewers support / talking to them and delivering kegs and ice.
Then a tasting session that costs $5.
Tons of free schwag and the brewer after hours party(ies) never hurt either.
Well, the hangover was a little tricky

That sounds like a much better way to enjoy the festival than standing in line waiting for samples.
