2012 nugget nectar?

Is 2012 Nugget nector released yet? I thought i read it wasnt going to be available until mid february this year but ive seen people claiming to be drinking it on untappd

this is a several (3+) month difference verus previous years.

I dont get how people are drinking it on untappd

I just went to a brewfest and asked the Troegs guys when it would be out and all he could tell me was that it was going to be late this year.

Just found it at the Barrel and the Bottle in the North Market in Columbus. Innocent bystanders may have been bowled over in the process of getting a six pack...

Our local beer shop asked for 40 cases. They only got 6 and they sold out in less than 2 hours. Luckily I was able to get a case.

Anybody think this years batch is below par as far as previous years go? I didn't really get any malt as I have in past years it was more balanced towards heavy bitterness and the nose was way more musty nugget hops then the past years with the grapefruit, peach, and tropical fruit notes. Kinda disappointed.

I thought that this year's batch tasted fine to me, but memories of last years is long gone. Nice resinous, dank hops as expected. Malt in the background.

Its still delicious to me. Maybe a bit undercarbed.

I have to agree. This years batch doesn't not have that grapefruit character to it. Seems like it has less body. Not as good as last year.

They just moved into a brand new location, possibly could account for the difference in hop character. You would think it wouldn't be that hard to retain the same hop character but then again I've never brewed on anything even close to that scale before.

Just needed a sample for the NN clone I brew and I think I like my batch better these days. NN clone compliments of redskinfan.
