So I'm going to be getting a kettle valve soon and was wondering if it was worth the extra cash for the three piece valve?

Any thoughts

Yes, it's worth the price difference ($4 on Bargain Fitting's site)... For one thing, with the 3-piece valve, you can rotate the center piece (where the actual valve part is) in 90 degree increments. So, if you tighten it down, and the handle is not at the top (on either side, or even the bottom) you simply remove the four bolts holding it all together, rotate the middle section, then putt it back together again. Really easy to do. Plus, it's easy to pull apart to clean as needed.

ill be devil's advocate. I just ordered 4 2 piece ss valves from proflow for ~$9 a piece. I think 2 piece valves are super easy to take apart (less parts and such) if you have 2 crescent wrenches and some elbow grease they come right apart. Save the money get 2 pieces because they function exactly the same as the 'bling' ones and bling out another part of your rig.
