Hi everyone,

I'm going to be brewing a barleywine next weekend and am wondering if I can re-use the grain after collecting the barleywine wort? Do you think it would have enough remaining sugars to make an ordinary bitter?

I'll be collecting 7 gallons of barleywine wort for the pre-boil volume (about 22 lbs of grain).

If it's possible, what teml should the second batch of mash water be since the grain will already be hot?

Sure, it's called "partigyle" and there's lots of info out there about how to do it. I expect a dozen posts here shortly.
