I took this tank in and my local airgas and they will only fill 5lb tank and up so I have this brand new tank I cannot use. It has a nice clear coat over the aluminum and you can tell it's brand new. It's the perfect portable size without having to go the paintball tank route.

$50 + shipping or trade for a 5lb aluminum tank.

Thanks for looking!

Jeff

Thanks guys. I have been going to airgas for years and they have helped me so many times I want to stick with the same place. Anyone want to buy it? Let's call it $50 or best offer.

Salt City Brew Supply fills CO2 tanks. I know you said you want to stick with AirGas but Salt City is a great LHBS and you can just get it filled when you pick up ingredients.

Yeah I don't know how much it is. I bought my tank from them and the price included a fill. I just got my kegs setup recently so I haven't needed a refill yet.

Thanks for the info. I will talk to them. I have been going to airgas before they opened so I just did not think of it.

What kind of coating did you put on that tank? It looks fabulous! Better than new.
It would be sad to let that one go.

For small fills like 2.5# your LHBS' price may be very reasonable. Although the $3 at a beer distributor that was mentioned is hard to beat. I once paid $21 for a 20# fill out the door, the next time it was "list price" $27.50. This was at a "local" fire protection company. 100s of tanks there in all sizes.

It actually came that way. It's a pretty thick clear coat.

So i went to Salt City yesterday for a refill and I guess they only have a siphon tank so they can only put as much CO2 in your tank to match the pressure of their tank. They were able to put almost 2 lbs in my 5 lbs tank. For your 2.5 lbs tank it is probably close enough to full. Just wanted to give you a heads up.
