Just wondering... What is the electrical load of the wort production side of the brewery?

I had 2 60a circuits powering the system and 120v cord for the controls.

Yeah that is true for the most part. There are ways around it though. The people who want to do the trade make the canning line. We have been talking to them about it a bit.

Hey Brewmoor I read the thread and was wondering if you started canning your beer or bottling it. And more to the point if canning it how has it gone and how much do you spend canning it.

Not planning on doing it anytime soon but inquiring minds you know

We can our beers. We have a small 2 head bottler I built but we only use that every once in a while to do bomber cases.

We started canning with company called Mobile Canning. The prices were not too bad and the convenience was great. If you self distribute it works out well.

Our new facility has a canning line. We now have a 20bbl system and 40bbl tanks. We are still using shrink sleeves though. We bought a machine that puts the sleeves on and shrinks it. Then passes it on to the canning machine. We bought a Wildgoose canning line. The upfront costs for the machines is pretty high. As far as production costs for cans it is cheaper then bottles. For us there is the sleeve, the can, the box, and the pac-tech holders. When you spread it over a few hundred cases per run it is not too bad.

So it sounds like you are ordering blank cans and using the shrink sleeves on them? That's a great idea.
