1st time soda

So I want to make Sprecher root beer.

Do I just dump this (sprecher syrup) and 4 gallons of water into my corny, stir it up, chill and carb?

So, carb-
what volume? I've seen 35 psi and 30' of 3/16 beer line...seems like a lot, is that what you really need?

also, do I have to worry about oxidation? i was just gonna use a drill whip
