1st time grower

i got my hands on some chinook and magnum rhzomes today, the problem i am having is i opened the box the chinooks look to be completely dried out and the magnums look to have mold growing on them my question is what are the chances that they will still grow and will the mold be something i worry about? anyone please help hoping that i am just overthinking this

Mold is fine just wipe it off

Try to plant them, my 1st year I got 1/2 to grow, this year I got al my rhizomes to grow. Hard to guess.
